The International Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Society (ICPES) was co-founded by Dr. Victor Parsonnet, Dr. Bert Th. Thalen, Dr. Graeme Sloman, Dr. H. Sykosch, Dr. Claude Meere and Dr. Seymour Furman in 1978. The Society is established with the missions to promote worldwide education in the fields of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology, and to coordinate the activities of national an international scientific societies devoted to cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. It also provides a platform for scientific exchange among its member and other national and international organizations through hosting World Congress on Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology.
